Above and Beyond…Nearly
This 5th
season episode originally aired on January 31, 1976. Real LA
County Fire Chief Richard Houtz makes a guest appearance to
bestow commendations for bravery to John and Roy (who can’t
remember the incident). A 94 year old man breaks his ankle while
dancing. Dr. Brackett treats a man who passed out in a
dentist’s chair. An injured mountaineer is stranded on a
cliff.
Unlike John and Roy’s commendations, these awards are real
and they can’t be taken away
